Walkers of Trowell, the complete anglers store, is situated in the heart of England, between Nottingham and Derby. Our shop has been established since 1971 and we have justifiably built up a reputation for quality, service, reliability and honesty. We have been supplying fishing tackle Mail Order to customers all over the world for nearly as long. Our website was designed to help our customers from home and abroad that prefer to shop online.
Four of our 12 strong team, Dave, Mark, Mike & Tony are fly fishing specialists and they're only too happy to help and advise you. Of course all our staff can help so you're never without assistance when you want it. When you visit our shop you'll be able to try before you buy. We have a private casting pool to the back of the sales area where you test a rod and reel are just right!
Our shop covers 4,500 square feet with over half a mile of shelving that positively groans under the weight of stock! We carry all the major brands including Sage, Hardys, Redington, Orvis, Shakespeare, Shimano, Greys, Simms, Patagonia, Fish Pond, Barbour, Fox, and Abel. Just to browse around this Aladdin’s cave of tackle is a tonic in itself. We have over half a million pounds worth of tackle, clothing and footwear for coarse, game, and sea anglers. After numerous requests from our customers we now organize destination-fishing opportunities (for information on fishing breaks please drop us a line).
If you're in the area why not pay us a visit? We are in the very heart of the Midlands, only 4 miles from junction 25 on the M1 motorway. You can park your car on our free private car park in front of the shop - there are no traffic wardens in Trowell!
Overseas customers are always welcome at our shop. Forms can be obtained from us to enable VAT (Tax) to be reclaimed when leaving the UK. To allow us to be able to do this, customers must bring their current passport with them (this applies to non-EEC countries only).
